Health Care, Shmelth Care!

Take a read, this is from my friends blog. Spread the word... I really don't want the gov't telling me how far apart to space my children.

Since the "journalists" haven't read the 1,000 plus page long ObamaCare bill and all they want you to believe is that President Obama is going to give everyone free cotton candy and ponies, then, due to their media malpractice, you may not know about the following atrocities in the Bill:
Pg 30 Sec 123- there will be a government committee that decides what treatments/benefits you get.
Pg 42 - The “Health Choices Commissioner” will choose your HC Benefits for you.
PG 50 Section 152- Healthcare will be provided to all non-US citizens, illegal or otherwise.
Pg 53- Severability “If any provision of the Act, or any application of such provision to any person or circumstance, is held to be unconstitutional, the remainder of the provisions of this Act and the application of the provision to any other person or circumstance shall not be affected.”

Pg 126 Lines 22-25 Employers must pay for healthcare for part time employees and their families.

Pg 170 Lines 1-3 Any nonresident Alien is exempt from individual taxes.
PG 203 Line 14-15- “The tax imposed under this section shall not be treated as tax.”
Pg 239 Line 14-24-Government will reduce physician services for Medicaid. Seniors, low income, poor will be affected. Expendable.
PG 268 Sec 1141- Federal government regulates rental & purchase of power driven wheelchairs.
Pg 354 Sec 1177 - Government will restrict enrollment of special needs people
PG 425 Lines 4-12 Government mandates “Advanced Care Planning Consultations.”
PG 425 the Federal Government will require everyone who is on Social Security to undergo a counseling session every 5 years with the objective being that they will explain to them just how to end their own life earlier.
Pg 425 Lines 17-19: Government will instruct & consult regarding living wills, durable powers of attorney.
PG 425 Lines 22-25, 426 Lines 1-3: Government provides approved list of end of life resources, guiding you in death.

Octagon

So apparently Shep knows the shape of an octagon. We were driving out of our neighborhood today and came to a stop sign. Shep yells from the back seat, "there's an octagon mommy, Elmo has an octagon too".

Thank you Sesame Street for teaching my child about shapes!

My baby is TWO!

I can hardly believe it...Shep turned two on July 2nd. How can it be two years since we brought you home and our lives were forever changed for the better. You have taught us so much in these last two years, probably way more than we have taught you. You are so sweet and are for sure mommy's little helper. You give the biggest hugs and slobbery kisses. Your squeals when you laugh are for sure the highlight of the evenings when Daddy comes home and tickles you. You are going to be a big brother soon and we hope you will pass along your sleeping techniques to the new little one because you sure are a champion sleeper. Now riding in the car is a different story, but I don't want to tell on you on your birthday. =)
We went to the beach for a long weekend and had fun celebrating you with family and friends.
We love you little buddy!

The Farm

Ohh the farm is the most wonderful place on earth. My friend Hannah's parents bought this old house in NC years ago and so I have been going with Hannah to the farm for many many summers now. Well lucky for Robbie and Shep they get to come along now too. The place has recently been updated so it is absolutely gorgeous. Shep ahad such a great time. We went last summer with him as well but he wasn't quite one yet so he definitely didn't have the capacity to take it all in, but he did this summer. There are several all terrain vehicles to take you around the property and that was by far Shep's favorite thing to do...that and play basketball. He was in his room playing not long after we got back from the farm and he put a bag over his shoulder and said "bye bye". I asked him where he was going and he said to the farm!!! Oh don't we wish...me too buddy, me too!
We had so much fun with all our friends that were up there too. Shep got spoiled with so much attention as he was the only kid around, but we loved it. He always had someone to play with. Can't wait until next summer!

Shep's favorite place at the farm...behind the wheel!

A getaway before the baby

Robbie and I took a weekend to get away before #2 comes. We went to skjhfau in Ameila Island. What a fantastic place; the service was great and their breakfast every morning was so yummy. It wasn't quite long enough though, you always need longer than a weekend to truly relax.

Memorial Day on the Lake

I know these posts are going to be all out of date order, but I don't really care today. For Memorial Day we went to Lake Dias in Deland with Robbie's family. His aunt and uncle have a boat and graciously brought it up for all of us to use. Our good friends the Angstroms came with us, even though Kathleen was 10 days past her due date. Even a bumpy boat ride didn't make that baby come out.

but got the hang of it after awhile and even gave us a wave

its been awhile

So I am not the best at keeping up with this blogging thing, but at least I have an excuse this time. In the last month, we have sold our house, packed up and moved to a new house and gone on vacation twice. By the time I went to my 33 week appt I had actually lost 6 lbs. A first for me in pregnancy, but don't worry, I assure you I have enough body weight of my own to carry this baby all the way to the end, which is only 6 more weeks I might add.
We are getting settled and really enjoying being right next door to Grandma. The closet space in this house is a little sparse, but it is all coming together. Below are some moving pics.

Always time for a little break to play the trumpet
